‘If Jesus were looking out through my eyes, how would He see this situation, person, or battle?’
Beloved, He would see the gift embedded in the situation and the provision He has made for you. The issue is not the issue. It is always about your relationship with Him. The circumstance you are in is never bigger than your blessing. The truth is, in Jesus, the bigger the problem the greater the provision. The issue in front of you, and demanding your attention, is never the issue from God. It is the issue your enemy wants you to handle and under pressure, your old nature defaults to fear, anxiety, and distress (Deut. 31:6).
Behind this is the real issue. Every situation, problem, or adversity in your life is about one thing. It is about your relationship with God. The primary purpose in God’s agenda is to make you into His image (Gen. 1:26) and His favourite strategy is the relationship He has with you (1 John 3:2). He will use every circumstance in your life as a devotional aid to further His purpose.
You will not disempower a negative by focusing on it (Num. 13: 31,32). You will disempower it by focusing on your identity and on what God wants to do and be for you (Num. 14:9). Beloved He has gone before you and made a way. You are His delight and He will never leave you.
