What is this situation teaching me about my destiny, who I am, and who I want to become?

Eve was the first woman who asked herself this question. She was thinking how good it would be to be wise and wonderful and in control of herself and her life. She had been listening to words that focused her mind on what she lacked and who she was not. She responded by reaching out to grasp a desirable, God-like, destiny that seemed to be hers, and Adam’s, for the taking.
If she had asked today’s question of God He would have answered His beloved daughter saying she was already made in His image and likeness and had controlling influence over all the earth (Gen. 1:23). She didn’t think to ask Him. But our God loves a teachable moment and He filled it, nevertheless, with consequential proof of her destiny, identity, and birthright.
God will use every life situation to teach you who you are in Jesus. Even, and especially, when you have failed to sparkle. Everything is useful. When God puts His finger on a part of your life that is not working, He is not disappointed about it and He isn’t telling you to try harder. He is pointing out that you need something from Him and He is offering it to you. He is declaring that you can invite Him into that place and He will come in and do a miracle.
You have full permission to step into all things beautiful in Him, to stop hiding from faults and start profiting from them. He is asking you to stop avoiding Him and move in closer so He can show you the blessing and the provision He has always held ready for that area of your life. Allow Him to wrap you in His heart. There you will find what He wants to show you about who you are. This is delight, not distress.
As Eve has illustrated, always beloved, the choice is yours.
