Beloved child, you are never alone.
Please don’t think you must sort this situation out; that somehow it is all up to you.
Jesus is limitless. His Kingdom is not just vast; it is immensely, unimaginably vast. His emotional strength is not just enough; it can carry everything troubling you and very much more. He has never been defeated. His wisdom, power, and knowledge cannot be exhausted. His limitless strength is always there to support you.
Despite His strength, He never faced life situations alone because that would have been a denial of His Sonship and a disaster for all of us. (John 5:19)
He has straightforward advice for you: “Apart from Me, you can do nothing” (John 15:5b). You may be eager to solve the problem, but He has already evaluated the worth of your independent, intelligent, and well-intentioned response.
Beloved, He is still using every situation in your life to draw you closer to Him and teach you something new about Himself and something new about who you are becoming. Your discomfort in a problem situation is very important to Him. But it is not His priority, so don’t let it be your priority either.
Sit quietly in your briar patch with Him. He’s not just in the thorny thicket with you; He is delighted to be there. He is delighted to live every part of your life with you. You are constantly in His presence. You get to do this with Jesus, who adores you. A problem is Him reaching out His hand to you. Take His hand and let Him unfold another facet of your identity. There is a blessing in this.
